About Us

The Blue Sky Restaurant Group is comprised of Jesse's Restaurant in Hanover New Hampshire, Molly's Restaurant and Bar in Hanover New Hampshire, and the Lui Lui Restaurants located in West Lebanon and Nashua, New Hampshire.

Jesse's Restaurant is the oldest of the group. Jesse's is a Log Cabin Steak and Seafood Dinner House founded by Marc and Patty Milowsky along with four other partners in July 1976. Marc and Patty became sole owners when the four other partners sold their interests to the Milowskys a year later. The original restaurant consisted of 86 seats and a 40 seat bar area with an atmosphere reminiscent of the Victorian Old West. Marc and Patty added a greenhouse for dining in 1981, an Adirondack Lodge addition and deck in 1990 and an outside brick patio in 2008. The additions have brought the total number of dining seats to approximately 275. Jesse's serves hand cut steaks, thick juicy burgers, fresh off-the-boat seafood, prime rib and fresh Maine lobsters as well as the best all-you-can eat salad bar containing the freshest produce and piping hot home baked Sequoia bread. Open 7 nights a week beginning at 4:30pm.

In 1983 the Milowskys took over the Town and Country Dress Shop in downtown Hanover and converted it into a 130-seat restaurant and bar which they called Molly's Balloon. At Molly's they served everything from finger food to full course fare. Molly's quickly became famous as a great gathering place and family restaurant popular with Dartmouth students and locals alike. In 1998 the Milowskys gave Molly's a complete face lift by adding approximately 25 more seats and a 50 seat outdoor patio. Morris Nathanson Designs from Rhode Island conceived the new look. Molly's Restaurant and Bar now has the feel of a timeless College Eating and Drinking establishment complete with Ivy League memorabilia and local sports photos and artifacts. It is the Milowsky's goal to continue to make Molly's a great place to eat and the unofficial Hanover Historical Museum. The fare at Molly's consists of Thin Crust Pizzas and entrees cooked in a wood fired brick oven, pasta dishes, the best burgers in the Upper Valley, fresh salads, wonderful finger food and appetizers, and homemade desserts. Molly's is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

In 1991 Bayne Stevenson, a local developer, approached the Milowskys along with Eric Roberts from Framingham, Mass., with a proposition to take over a restaurant in the Powerhouse Mall in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. The restaurant had gone through three previous owners who had been unsuccessful in their efforts at that location. The last owners built a brick oven in the restaurant, which was never used. The Milowskys & Roberts took over the restaurant and combined their talents with a designer named Spiros Zakas to come up with a restaurant, which Spiros aptly named Lui Lui (which means "He He" in Italian). The group departed from the traditional approach to Italian restaurants and designed a concept where people could not only eat great Italian food, but also have fun doing it! The restaurant is loaded with whimsical Italian decor including Italian movie posters, a giant fork with spaghetti lights, chandeliers with tomato can shades, humorous artwork and statues, and a brick oven designed to look like a giant tomato. Lui Lui became an instant success and continues to be a mainstay in the casual dining scene in the Upper Valley. In 1996 the Milowskys and Roberts teamed up for another Lui Lui in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Lui Lui partners found a location in the heart of the busy shopping district on the Daniel Webster Highway in South Nashua. Once again Morris Nathanson of Rhode Island designed the Lui Lui of Nashua. Both Lui Lui restaurants specialize in serving many varieties of Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta, large salads and antipastos, hot home baked rolls served with their famous "dippin' oil", and homemade desserts. The Lui Lui restaurants are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

With four restaurants the Milowsky's decided it was time to finally put them all under one umbrella. Hence, "The Blue Sky Restaurant Group" was founded. "Why Blue Sky?" "Why not?!!!" More to come from the Blue Sky Restaurant Group................
